Days after Meghan submitted a lawsuit against Associated Newspapers for publishing parts of a letter she wrote to her father, the couple announced that they would take 6 weeks off from their royal duties to focus on getting some family time.

Buckingham Palace announced the next month that Prince Harry and Meghan would be spending the holidays with Meghan’s mother. It was also announced that this decision has the support of Queen Elizabeth II.
