Prince Harry and Meghan happened to already be in the United Kingdom for the WellChild Awards in London when Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022. Prince Harry flew to Scotland to be with the Queen but she passed away while he was on his flight.

The couple had a surprise public reunion with Prince William and Kate Middleton a few days later as they greeted well-wishers at Windsor Castle. The Fab Four’s public appearance gave the people hope that all can still be well within the royal family.
