Because of his age, some people wonder if King Charles would end up abdicating the throne. In fact, it seemed to be a good idea for King Charles to rule briefly for a year or two and then choose to pass the throne to Prince William.

Prince William is in his prime and would have a better hold on all the royal responsibilities expected from a monarch. But the next part of Nostradamus’ prophecy does not refer to Prince William as the next one to take the throne.
