The parish of Templebreedy
Templebreedy, located on the picturesque southern coast of Ireland, just 15 miles southeast of Cork, is steeped in history that dates back to the medieval era. The Christian community there originally worshipped in a church dedicated to Brigid of Kildare, one of Ireland’s most revered saints.
This early church, a symbol of the parish’s longstanding Christian heritage, eventually fell victim to the ravages of time and weather, deteriorating into a mere shadow of its former self.
