The Olympic gold medalist Kyle Chalmers surprises his fans with a new side hustle. The social media star has won glory in the pool and now exposed this side hustle in the lead-up to the 2024 Olympics. This surprising attempt represents his talents once again.

The Port Lincoln missile has teamed up with shoe company Athletikan. They have decided to launch Kyle Chalmers’s signature sneaker line. It will be the first-ever Australian swimmer who is designing his sneakers. The shoe company mentioned that the shoes will come with a special KC logo for “King Kyle”. The logo will represent the Australian swim colors bright neon yellow and green.

Previously sporting superstars like Michael Jordan and Cristiano Ronaldo built sneaker collaborations that made the products cool. This collaboration also enriches cultural variation. It seems Mr Chalmers also stepping towards the same tradition.

Recently Mr Chalmers started following Athletikan on Instagram. This indicates that the partnership already started. The co-founder Joe Tamburrino of the company said, “We wanted to do something epic in an Olympic year with an Australian athlete.” He also said, “We identified Kyle as a perfect fit to collaborate with.” Then he mentioned, “He is a world-class athlete, a sneakerhead and it’s awesome to be an Australian brand collaborating with a superstar Australian athlete.”

Mr Chalmers won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He mentioned that he feels honored to develop a brand shoe in his name. The South Australian swim star said, “It’s got my name on it, got the ‘KC’ on the back, ‘King Kyle’ and I love the bright colors.”

Then he added, “Bright shoes have always been my thing so being able to have my bright signature shoe is very special. If I have had a good race, whether at State Champs or Olympic Games, I have always treated myself to a new pair of shoes and I always will make sure I have a fresh, nice, bright pair of shoes that no one else on the pool deck will have, so for me I have always been a shoe guy.”
