Former Michigan Football Player Craig Roh Passed Away at 33

After a battle with colon cancer, Craig Roh has passed away at the age of 33. He played football for the University of Michigan. Craig also played in the Canadian Football League. In addition, he played for the Wolverines more than a decade ago. The football community is in mourning at his sudden death. He was struggling with some health complications.

Craig Roh’s wife Chelsea confirmed the news of his death. She shared the news on social media. She writes, “I wanted to let all of his followers know that after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer, God brought Craig home on Monday, February 26th,” Then she continued, “Craig was not very public with his battle, as he truly just wanted to focus on bringing the best content and building the best products he could.”

The athlete grew up in Scottland and his player life initiated with the Wolverines. He played for the Wolverines from 2009 to 2012. He played in multiple positions. Craig signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers as a free agent. Later he decided to take his talents northward. He played in the Canadian Football League between 2015 and 2021. He also performed in various teams like the BC Lions, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and the Toronto Argonauts.

Craig also authored the book named “The Pass Rush Bible” and “The Block Destruction Bible”. He also established an online service platform to help coaches and athletes. The player initiated D-Line University to teach the art of defensive line play. Craig and Chelsea have a son Max.

His wife wrote on Instagram, “In classic Craig fashion, he was working on posts and plans for D-line University until the very end. He LOVED coaching and it carried him through his hardest days. As we mourn and figure out what life looks like next, we will be back with plans that Craig laid out.”
