Argentine superstar Lionel Messi confirmed that he is going to make Inter Miami debut. David Beckham phone call from Lionel Messi’s agent at 5 am and he was nearly brought to tears after getting the news of Inter Miami’s game-changing deal.

It was a chance to make a personal dream come true for Beckham. The boss at the club Xavier Asensi said in an interview, “From the very beginning we said we needed the best. At that time Messi was at Barcelona and had never played anywhere else. Then when he went to Paris we thought we had a real chance.”

He continued, “It has been a few months, in order not to say years, that has been the thing we’ve been working tirelessly for and that happened last summer. Now everything we do goes around Messi, the hype he creates and not just in Miami but the States and in general.”

Messi said in a video message, “First of all, congratulations. I wanted to wish you all the best in this project and this new role for you. And who knows, maybe in a few years you can give me a call.”

Argentine superstar also said, “I’m very excited to start this next step in my career with Inter Miami and the United States. This is a fantastic opportunity and together we will continue to build this beautiful project. The idea is to work together to achieve the objectives we set, and I’m very eager to start helping here in my new home.”
