Olympic Gymnast Nastia Liukin Shared Her Advice to Team USA

Before the 2024 Paris Games, Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin wants to explore her advice to Team USA. She mentioned that one important lesson Team USA gymnasts need to carry with them to the 2024 Paris Summer Games.

 

 

Recently the Olympic gymnast participated in an interview and here she reveals her advice to the team. She hopes Team USA will take one lesson to Paris for the 2024 Summer Games. She said, “Try to be present and be in the moment. It goes by so quickly.” The 34-year-old suggests her fellow Olympians to keep a diary.

 

Nastia won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She said that she was so homesick at the time and “having a countdown” to the last day of the competition. She said, “I wrote in it every single day and I have that for the rest of my life.”

 

 

Nastia said of Team USA, “They are well-trained. If anything, it’s more so a mental challenge.” According to the five-time Olympic medalist, this is the time of blocking out negativity can be difficult in this age of social media. 

 

She said, “As long as you feel like you’re being the best version of yourself and you can stand true to yourself,” She added, “that’s the most important thing.” 

 

 

Nastia jokingly added, “I’m just glad that I competed in an era where I didn’t have social media.” So, we can expect that the USA team will follow the advice of this great Olympic player and deliver the best in them.
